The South Dakota Department of Transportation is planning a temporary closure to allow for the placement of new pavement markings on US16A from the intersection of SD36 to north of Playhouse Road near the south tunnel. The size of the pavement marking equipment and the narrow winding road make completing the pavement marking under traffic somewhat hazardous, and keeping traffic off the fresh paint difficult. The closure is scheduled to occur on September 25th from 11:00 am and last until 2:00 pm. This is a weather dependent closure relying on a warm and dry conditions. Alternative days will be September 26th and 27th. We will continue to update our schedule as we draw closer to the closure date. Thank you.
